Once your order is processed by staff you will receive a 2nd notification that it is ‘On its way’. Soon after this (usually within 15 minutes during business hours) you should receive a ‘Welcome to Rawlinsons’ email containing your login details. There is a manual element in the processing of your order, therefore if it is placed outside of business hours there will be a delay. Office hours are 8:30 – 5:00 Monday to Friday (AWST).
No sorry, our electronic publications are cloud based and require a small piece of software to be downloaded onto your Windows or MAC workstation. Once this software has been downloaded, you can access the publication anytime, as long as you are connected to the internet. To ensure our publications are secure, the software is encrypted so users cannot download and save, print or screen share the publication.
From version 3.2 of the viewer software, it is possible to use Snipping Tool to take screenshots of the publication.
Access from home is very easy as our EPUB portal is web based. You will need to visit the EPUB web portal via your local internet connection rather than logging in through a remote desktop service (not supported). Simply open a web browser on your home machine and go to EPUB login: https://epub.rawlhouse.com/rawlinsonsweb/#/login Use your existing login details. From the EPUB portal homepage, Download and Install the latest viewer software locally onto your home machine. Then access the publications as usual via ‘My publications’.
Remote desktop connections are not supported. Our software also prevents screen sharing of any kind. When working from home, please connect to the EPUB portal via your local web connection. Install the viewer software into your home machine to access the publications.
Our encryption does not allow for access via a proxy server environment. Contact us for guidance on bypassing the proxy server if this is possible for you.
Currently our software does not support mobile devices and there is not an application to download.
You certainly can, register for a free sample trial of our electronic publications here.
You can purchase one hardcopy plus one digital license at a discounted rate. Bundles are available on each publication's main page.
If you purchase the full electronic copy and then decide you would rather have the traditional hard copy, just give us a call and we will provide a one off swap of your purchase, free of charge. Your electronic access will be revoked and a hard copy posted as a replacement.
One purchase equals one license. Multiple users can be set up to share the license; however it only allows one user to access the publication at one time, much like a traditional book. If you need to use it, you need to wait until the person before you has finished. If you wish to allow your users to access more than one license at a time you can purchase multiple licenses, just like purchasing multiple hard copies for your office. We offer discounts for purchases of 5 or more, please contact our office on (08) 9424 5800 or electronic@rawlhouse.com for details.
The initial purchaser will become the first licensee, they can then allocate access to as many users as they wish. Other users can be set up as Licensees or General Users. Licensees can; view their publications, view current subscriptions, add new users, change details and order additional licenses if needed. It is up to the licensee to keep user records up to date. General Users can; view the publications that they have been assigned access to, view company details and change personal details.
The best solution is to have individual licenses for each office location. This allows for a separate licensee in each location to oversee the set-up of users and usage in that office, as well as avoiding the situation where the license is tied up in one office when another office needs to use it.
Academic institutions can now access our digital publications via ProQuest - Ebook Central.
The software is a viewer which allows you to decrypt and access the cloud based publications, allowing the user to place comments/notes, highlights and other annotations that will only be visible to users under their common licensee. The viewer will need to be installed on every computer that will be accessing the publications. Our software is verified and the application is fully certified by a third party.
Simply visit the publication’s main page via the links on our homepage. Prices and Buy buttons are displayed below the publication’s details. Complete the checkout process with Visa/MasterCard. You will then be emailed login details, with easy to follow instructions on how to download the viewer software onto your Windows or Mac workstation. As the software is cloud based, you will require access to an internet connection.
A full user guide is available at the top of this page, or via the 'Help' section of the EPub portal.
